What is Environmental Context?

The environments that we study are the places and spaces where youth live, grow, play, learn, and interact with others. Environmental context captures the ways that each youth's environments influence their development, life experiences, and interactions with others (including family, peers, school, communities, neighborhoods, and more).

RESEARCH PROJECTS

Through our projects, we aim to understand how adverse and stressful life events during childhood development influence youth mental health and youths' response to mental health treatments. Our primary focus is in the area of youth depression. The goal of this research is to learn how to improve therapies for children and teens.
